Role Overview You will contribute to our success by: • Designing and implementing Java and/or C/C++ applications in a Unix/Linux environment for reliable, fault tolerant, carrier grade platforms. • Providing high-level system designs, detailed design specifications, implementation and estimates. • Sharing your knowledge in the following technology areas: OO analysis and design, distributed programming, multi-threaded system design, high availability system design, protocols, design patterns, database access, etc. • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Experience in design and use of data access technologies ( RDBMS, LDAP, TimesTen, Oracle) • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills • Knowledge of TCP, UDP and other higher level network and internet protocols ( DHCP, RADIUS, DIAMETER, LDAP). DIAMETER is a huge plus. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment Preferences • Extensive experience in application performance tuning and profiling • Blade servers (ATCA and others) and their management architectures • Load Balancing • Knowledge of XML, XSD, web services, SOAP, SQL |
