WHEN I DECIDED TO QUIT................

One day I decided to quit...
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality...
I wanted to quit my life.

I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"

His answer surprised me...

"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.

When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.
I gave them light. I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.
"In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. "I would not quit." He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.
Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant... But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots.
Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots."
"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don't compare yourself to others ..." He said. The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern ... Yet, they both make the forest beautiful."
Your time will come, God said to me. You will rise high!

How high should I rise?" I asked.

How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can? I questioned.

Yes. " He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can.

I left the forest and bring back this story.

I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
Never regret a day in your life.

Good days give you happiness;
Bad days give you experiences;
Both are essential to life.

Happiness keeps you Sweet!
Trials keep you Strong!!

Sorrows keep you Human!
Failures keep you Humble!!

Success keeps You Glowing!
But Only God keeps You Going!!

~The Bird & The White Rose~

Once upon a time a bird fell in love with a white rose. One day she, the bird, proposed to him, the white rose, but the white rose refused. White rose said "I don't love you". The bird came daily and proposed to the white rose. Finally, the white rose said "When I will turn red, I will love you". One day the bird came and cut her wings and spread her blood on the white rose and the rose turned red. Then the rose realized how much the bird loved him but it was too late because the bird was dead. So respect the love and feelings of the person who loves you.

Honesty is still the best policy

Once a general manager wanted to test his people who had come from all over India, about their values of life.

He announced that in their seminar folder, there is PVC pouch and in it there is a seed. When they return, they must put it in a good soil in a pot and look after it very well.

He would hold a competition in the next year's seminar and that the best plants would be awarded suitably.

Everyone did what was told to him. A year passed quickly. And next year in a big hall, there were hundreds of pots and a great variety of plants-a great scene.

Except one pot in which the soil was there and no plant! The owner was standing quietly and seemingly ashamed of himself!

The general manager called him on the stage. He asked him what happened and he told him the truth. He planted the seed which he was given – and did that was to be done- but nothing happened!

The general manager declared him the winner!

Everyone was shocked. It was announced, "Gentlemen! The seeds I gave you were boiled seeds. You planted them and nothing happened! You acted smartly and used some other seeds.

This man was honest to his work and, therefore he did not cheat me or himself!"

10 Health-Enhancing Herbs for Christmas

Many common herbs and plants have medicinal properties. Here are a few that may come in handy over the festive period.

You don’t have to be in Harry Potter’s Herbology class to learn about the healing powers of plants and herbs.  These may be useful over the forthcoming festive period.

Sandalwood – will cure pimples, soften skin and iron out wrinkles.  You'll be ready to party.

Thyme – if you’re feeling stressed with all the hype make yourself a mini bonfire of thyme leaves on Christmas morning.  The smoke is said to lift depression and anxiety.

Ginger – if you’re on the move over the festive period, stem ginger not only tastes good but combats travel sickness too.

Sage – is not just for stuffing the turkey.  Mix the leaves with honey to make an energy-giving infusion.

Lemon balm – if all the excitement gets a bit much try a mug of lemon balm tea to banish a tension headache.

Liquorice – now you’re shot of your headache, liquorice reputedly has aphrodisiac properties.  It even gets a mention in the Kama Sutra – be careful with the liquorice allsorts!

Peppermint oil – if you’ve over-indulged on the mince pies a few drops will help combat upset stomachs and flatulence.

Lavender – a few drops on your pillow will help you to sleep.  Or it will make lying awake more pleasant.

Fennel – a few seeds dropped into hot water will help if you wake up next day with a hangover.

Chamomile tea – is good for the shock when you get your credit card bill in January.
