Connectivity team in Greater Noida, India contributes across all segments such as R&D, Host Software development, Mobile Platform Integration & Customer Operations. The Connectivity Host Software & Platform Integration team is responsible for System Architecture design & development of Bluetooth/FM/WLAN protocol stack software, device drivers for ST-E Connectivity devices on multiple OS/mobile platforms. Additionally the team also handles Connectivity customers for the chipset spanning Bluetooth/FM/WLAN integration support, technical queries/troubleshooting
Job Description :
The incumbent is responsible for design/development/maintenance of WLAN drivers for ST-Ericsson's WLAN products on Linux/Android based platforms.
The job involves
- Developing a good understanding the overall SW architecture
- Deep understanding of WLAN protocol
- Design/Development of WLAN MAC features
- Deep understanding in low level drivers like SDIO and SPI
- Design/Development of embedded drivers on OS like Android, RTK, Nucleus, REX, WinMobile etc..
- Supporting customers for customer integration issues, development of new features, on-site and off-site support.
Technical Requirements:
- Expertise in C background is mandatory; experience in C++ is a plus
- Preferably 1-2 years experience in design/development of one or more connectivity protocol stacks (BT/FM/GPS/NFC/UWB/USB)
- atleast 2 years experience in Linux at Kernel level and in Linux OS in general or equivalent experience in RTOSes
- In-depth experience in one or more embedded Operating Systems - Linux/Android, RTK, OSE, REX, WinMobile etc..
- knowledge of one or more wireless standards like BT, FM, GPS, NFC, RFID, 802.11, UWB, USB, is a big plus
- Familiar with software engineering processes/practices and experience in handling customers
