Profile :

 

1.      Resource planning for smooth operation and defining guidelines for Handling network operations and maintenance.

2.      Ensuring deployment of spares, Test and Measurement equipments, tools For  meeting MTTR and timely replenishment  of faulty hardware.

3.      Monitor dispatch and delivery of O&M spares against faults and track till Delivery and fault closure.

4.      Meeting product vendor for ensuring technical support, RS&R and up-gradation of spare.

5.      Monitoring Vendor SLAs RS&R Support and vendor rating, preparation of service Entry for AMC payments.

6.      Regular meetings as per schedule with Vendors for tracking and maintaining the AMC value realization.

7.      Coordinating with field engineers and MSL for inventory of spare  and T&M.

8.      Planning budget for meeting network operation and maintenance requirement.

9.      Ensuring timely AMC and Vendor Support plan with Transport Vendors.

10.  Presentation to the management on Daily, weekly and monthly status reports on RS&R,  status and critical issues.

Profile:

Long Term Planning (Quarterly)

• To Plan circle wise rollout and material requirement based on the approved & released scope by Management.
• Quarterly material requirement forecast to be collected from respective circles 15 days in advance.
• As per material consumption plan & availability inform concerned  every quarter for procurement of material which may fall short for the planned rollout ,  keeping lead time in sight.
• Ensure that sufficient material is available or will be made available  in time at circle for project execution.
• Along with material, planning for other resources like Manpower, Vehicle and Vendor teams shall be done to meet
• Project Rollout timelines.

Short Term Planning (Succeeding Month Rollout Plan)

• Prepare Month wise, Circle wise Plan for the roll out based on the  quarterly and yearly targets
• Plan Material requirements based on the above
• Ensure that all other resources are made available in time.
• Coordinate with various cross functional teams ,  identifying the  issue ( Internal /external) & Resolve the same tio ensure that project time lines are met,.
• Ensure that the Circle Managers hve a daily concall with the cluster teams for the Plan Vs Actual progress. They will also find out the gaps and reasons thereof to resolve it at Circle/Vendor/NHQ Level. They will responsible to give feed back on Clusters needing help for issue resolutions
• Have a bi-Weekly concalls with the Circle Project team. go upto the cluster level to motivate and resolve issues, based on the feedback received from the Circle Mangers.
• To support the Circles in terms of Budgets, additional approvals and technical problem resolution.
• To release the progress reports on daily basis as MIS through Project Warroom.
• To review critically and analyze reasons for any shortfall in the monthly targets and ensure that the same are not repeated thereafter.
• To escalate to management, any unresolved issues through issue Register on a weekly basis
• Ensure that all reports are generated from Portal, & portal is updated on regular basis.
• To coordinate with acquisition team for getting sites RFC as per the rollout plan. The constriction actives should be as per guidelines issued by NHQ.
• Ensure on-time RFI by IPs as well as by Vendors involved in OWN construction work.
• To prepare and submit approval notes to NHQ for additional budgetary support required for construction activities and Business Proposals
• Will be Overall responsible for Telecom Project Implementation (SDH/ DWDM/ MW/ BTS/ 3G/UBR) excluding FA Rollout
• Interact with Network Planning & engineering teams for timely release of  search rings , site planning (with MW Link engg, IP, connectivity etc.) details.
• Ensure  quality equipment installation and visibility of equipments  in respective management systems , Field/ NOC AT and handover to O&M team for on going maintenance.
• Ensure that 1A/1B/1C & other installation & commissioning documents are signed by circle leadership team and send to NHQ for vendor payments.
• Ensure On-Time utilities Commissioning and RF work to facilitate post RFE1 work.

Job Description

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Network Implementation/System Administration role for an ISP or technology-driven company is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Telecom Engineering /Computer science /Information systems or a related field.
• Desirable – MCSE, Cisco CCNA/CCDA or CCNP/CCDP Certified.

• Maintain IP Infrastructure of Networks of High-Speed Internet Access, Voice Systems Access, WiFi Networks, WiMAX Network.
• Respond to IP Related outages, Operate IP Monitoring for Systems and Performance Alerts
Maintain Network Services Relating to Network Availability and Operation.
• Includes: RADIUS, LDAP, HTTPD, SSH, SQL, PPPoE Concentrators, DNS, VPN Servers and others.
• Implement New Technologies to Improve RAS (Reliability, Availability and Serviceability) of Network.
• Knowledge of system administrator (Linux, UNIX, MS Windows, etc...).
• To work with various vendors for network integrations and implementations, Document network traffic paths and physical / logical IP networks, Stage network equipment for field deployment and spare emergency deployment.
• Availability monitoring and trend/capacity monitoring, work with TSG for level three network diagnostics for customer incidents, train team on new technologies implemented to help network ops and support.
• Prevention and resolution of network outages to minimize customer downtime.
• Creation and management of ongoing preventative maintenance activities.
• Insure copies of all necessary configurations/scripts are available for replacement hardware.
• Insure there is the necessary backup networking equipment in stock for field replacements.
• Monitor performance statistics to identify performance anomalies; responsible for proper analysis of root cause and implementation of short and long-term corrective actions in order to improve customer satisfaction.
• Provide Failure Analysis by assessing engineering issues that arise on network equipment.
• Review and analyze failure symptoms and conditions to identify failure mechanisms.
• Responsible for interdepartmental communications relating to network information such as status, capacity, outage response and resolution and needing maintenance and upgrades.
• Plan and train Technical Support Department on the support of new technologies including wireless, and on network performance and reliability.
• Work closely with external systems and network integrators to plan and implement the expansion the existing WIMAX network.
• Development and maintenance of a disaster recovery plan for each site and for the overall network and its resources.
• Participate in strategic network planning, tactical operation planning, and the development of contingency operation.
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures regarding network standards, equipment, maintenance, and monitoring and analysis tools.
• Knowledge of the wireless data industries is desirable. Direct ISP/WISP management experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of various NMS, including monitoring, capacity, performance, and service level reporting.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools and techniques, intrusion detection systems, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networking, and basic IP addressing and subnetting schemes.
• Experience working with and designing IP Networks in an Wide Area Environment.
• Testing and field application knowledge of networking systems and issues.
• Strong Knowledge of IP (Internet protocol), TCP (Transport Control Protocol), and general PC network communication.
• Fair communication skill.
• Good Managerial skill.
