God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him

It's true that we don't know What we've got until it's gone, But it's also true that we don't know What we've been missing until it arrives..
You can win more friends with your ears than you can with your mouth!
When God allows a burden to be put upon you, He will put his arms underneath you to help you carry it.
Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don't say it mean.
Worry is like a rocking chair--it gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere.
In prayer you communicate with God, in meditation God communicates with you.
A weird thing about humans is we work till we're sick to get a fortune, then pay a fortune to get well again.
God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him.

DRINK, STEAL, SWEAR & LIE

I met this person who has a motto he lives by everyday. He said " listen carefully and
live by these 4 rules: Drink, Steal, Swear, & Lie."

I was shaking my head 'no', but he then told me to listen while he explained his four rules. So here they are:

1.. "Drink" from the "everlasting cup" every day.

2.. "Steal" a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you are.

3.. "Swear" that you will be a better person today than yesterday.

4.. And last, but not least, when you "lie" down at night thank God you live in a country where you have religious freedom.

I am not as good as I should be, I am not as good as I could be. but THANK GOD

I am better than I used to be !*

The 45 lessons life taught me.

---Anonymous

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ''In five years, will this matter?"

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is,not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative - dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's,
we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

Seven Chakra

The word chakra is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers correlates to major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column. In addition the chakras also correlate to levels of consciousness, archetypal elements, developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, body functions, and much, much more.
Below is a brief description of each chakra.

Chakra Seven:
Thought, Universal identity, oriented to self-knowledge
This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.

Chakra Six:
Light, Archetypal identity, oriented to self-reflection
This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us "see the big picture."

Chakra Five:
Sound, Creative identity, oriented to self-expression
This is the chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication and creativity. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language.

Chakra Four:
Air, Social identity, oriented to self-acceptance
This chakra is called the heart chakra and is the middle chakra in a system of seven. It is related to love and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace and centeredness

Chakra Three:
Fire, Ego identity, oriented to self-definition
This chakra is known as the power chakra, located in the solar plexus. It rules our personal power, will, and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity, and non-dominating power.

Chakra Two:

Water, Emotional identity, oriented to self-gratification

The second chakra, located in the abdomen, lower back, and sexual organs, is related to t he element water, and to emotions and sexuality. It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement. Ideally this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to
accept change.

Chakra One:
Earth, Physical identity, oriented to self-preservation

Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the element earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts, and to our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical plane. Ideally this chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence.

Yoga as Preventive Therapy

MIAMI BEACH, FL - JUNE 11: (L-R) Hector Garci...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

From years of experience, I’ve discovered that Yoga helps bring natural order and balance to the neuro-hormones and metabolism in the body. Simultaneously, these practices improve endocrine metabolism, thereby providing you with a preventive shield. That’s what I also call my Curative Value

I believe it works like this: Yogasanas activate the energies that have accumulated and stagnated in the energy pockets of your body and since left inert, these energies create various ailments. Pranayama, or Yogic breathing exercises cleanse your body, mind and consciousness by venting toxins from the body. Then there are Yogic kriyas, cleansing techniques that rid the body of free radicals.

Yoga, I’ve found, also succeeds in integrating all aspects of action, wisdom, and peace into one. It aims at integration on three levels: Psychic integration, of the various facets of the self; Cosmic integration, of the aspects of the universe; and Existential integration that comes only when one fully realizes that the Self and the universe are one.

Believe it or not, Yoga can actually help reduce pain by helping your brain regulate the secretion of natural painkillers into the body? Pranayama, or breathing exercises commonly used in Yoga mostly help in this. The muscles tend to relax as you exhale; so lengthening your time of exhalationpain management. can help induce relaxation and reduce tension. Maintaining a certain awareness of one’s own breath helps achieve calmer, slower respiration and assists in relaxation and

Yoga can be a rewarding preventive therapy; a life-long activity that promotes health and maintains functions of organs as you age. It can be a part of almost everyone’s fitness plan as the different types of Yoga and the opportunities to advance and improve are boundless.

Magnets in Vedas

Magnet is said to have very ancient origin and its properties were known to the very ancient Aryans. They have the belief that the magnet, besides having the power of attracting iron, was also gifted with many mystical and curative powers. The Vedas which are the most ancient religious scriptures of the Hindus, also mentioned about the treatment of some diseases with special sand and stones at several places in India.

Among the four Vedas, the Atharva Veda is the basis of the Ayurvedic system of treatment. This particular Veda deals with the treatment of several types of diseases. Some of the mantras of the Atharva Veda can demonstrate well these facts. The use of some articles made of sand and stones (which are thought to be magnets) in the treatment for stoppage of bleeding is cited in the mantras 3 and 4 of Sukta 17 of Kand 1 of Part I of the Atharva Veda.

Again, mantras 2 and 3 of Sukta 35 of Kand 7 of Part 3 of the Atharva Veda deal with the treatment of women with the help of stones and are as discussed below:

The Dictionary meaning of the word `Siktavati` used in the mantras of Sukta 17 and of the word `Ashman` used in the mantras of Sukta 35, mentioned above, are :

As per the Sanskrit-Hindi Dictionary, the word `Sikta` means `sand` and `Siktavati` means `full of sand`. Again the term `Ashman` referred in the Atharva Veda means `stone, Chamak Patthar` and `Ashmana` means `with the stone`.

The Sanskrit-English Dictionary gives the meaning of `Sikta` to be sand, gravel and stone and that of `Ashman` is `stone, rock, precious stone and any instrument of stone. From these discussions, it is obvious that the mantras of Sukta 17 of the Atharva Veda explain about the stoppage of bleeding with some material made of sand and the mantras of Sukta 35 mention about the treatment of women with some kind of stone.

Prof. Friedrich Max Muller of Germany has given the English translations of these Vedic mantras, from where the presence of magnets in the treatment of ailments can be traced. He is one of the most eminent orientalists, who have translated all the four Vedas and many other Sanskrit and Hindi religious books of India. As per his translation of the Vedic mantras, the meaning of mantras 3 and 4 of Sukta 17 respectively goes like below:

  • `Of the hundred arteries, and the thousand veins, those in the middle here have indeed stood still, at the same time the ends have ceased to flow`.

  • `A great sandy like has passed around you, stand yet still, pray take your case`.

The Mantras 2 and 3 of Sukta 35 are translated like this:

  • `Of these hundred entrails of thine, as well as of the thousands canals, of all these have I closed the openings with a stone`.

  • `The appeared part of the womb do I place below, there shall come to thee neither off-spring nor birth, I render thee sterile and devoid of off-spring, a stone do I make into a cover for thee`.

All these mantras of Atharva Veda discussed above are related to the treatment of human diseases. From these mantras, it is clear that the treatment was not possible by means of ordinary sand or simple stones and it was done with some special sand and stones having specific therapeutic properties. The usual metallic magnets are made from iron alloys and the ceramic magnets are manufactured from sand, clay, barium and iron oxide. Therefore, the words mentioned in the Vedas like the `Siktavati` (meaning sandy) and `Asitma` (meaning chakmak patthar) are enough to verify that the magnetic stone and its properties were known during Vedic period also. The magnetic elements were used for therapeutic purposes in India since times immemorial.

    Anything is possible

It's difficult to even know what many of your limiting beliefs are because they are so well entrenched. Yet day after day, they hold you back and obscure your view of life's best possibilities.

To set yourself free of those limiting beliefs, crowd them out with inspiration. The more inspired you are, the more easily you'll dissolve the beliefs that hold you back.

Focus on a beautiful, wonderful, meaningful possibility. Feel how you must let go of your limiting beliefs in order to fully imagine and comprehend that possibility.

See that ultimately, the only thing that really holds you back is your belief that you cannot move forward. Once you've let that go, you free yourself to soar.

Anything is possible. And underneath all those illusions of limitation, you know it without a doubt.

Trade your limitations for inspirations. And fulfill the best that is within you.

Six simple 'D' mantras for happiness

'LET EVERYONE be happy'. All philosophies unilaterally accept this declaration. The moment we think 'how to be happy' we acknowledge the feeling that we are unhappy. What could be the root cause of unhappiness?
In the present age everyone is focused on earning. Most of us, while performing our duties are more conscious of pain than pleasure and this painful realisation, rather unhappiness, results in anger, greed and lust. By turning away from these three entrances to the realm of unhappiness and behaving according to one's own highest good certainly results in happiness.
Happiness cannot be bought from anywhere. The question that arises then is how can one get happiness? Happiness is a state of mind. In short, it exists in man's mind. Mind is the substratum of happiness as well as of unhappiness. Hence, we must give inputs to the mind. The mind is to be fed with right knowledge rather than information. Happiness can be realised by knowledge. Knowledge comes by mastery over a object or subject.
Here are six simple 'D' mantras that are imperative to get into the realm of happiness irrespective of your profession, vocation and age.
    Duty:
Do thy duty. That is a dictum that runs from ages. If a person does his duty, he will certainly be happy. There is no free lunch as we all know. This is an eternal law. It may not strike us, but sooner or later, the realisation will dawn on us. Our duty determines what we deserve and what we can assimilate. All work/duty is simply to bring out the power of the mind, which is already there. Duty is thus to be done irrespective of the circumstances.
    Discipline:
A disciplined man is almost half successful. He does his duty and that brings happiness. It eliminates fear, and inferiority. That enthuses him to be creative. A disciplined mind distinguishes between right and wrong. A disciplined mind is fearless, so it does help in doing the right things.
    Determination:
"He only is a well-made man who has a good determination". Determination shows the strength of a man's mind! It yields dedication and devotion. A decisive mind removes confusion and doubts thereby it endows intellectual satisfaction. A determined man is balanced and positive and that makes him happy.
    Dexterity:
To create something novel, to invent anew, to attain great skills are all laudatory. But unless one is a master of his domain it is not easy to achieve success. To achieve one's ambition one needs to have dexterity. Dexterity here does not just mean being skillful with one's hands or body agility. It means one needs to be mentally alert to the best level. A person who is mentally conscious of his duties and responsibilities will never while away time in pondering over the unnecessary. His approach will be - hard work coupled with selflessness to achieve success and happiness.
To realise true happiness one must work incessantly with devotion and determination.
    Decentralisation:
Here we use the term decentralised to mean socialising. Decentralisation makes one healthy and happy. Avoid being possessive.
If a person is self-centered, people do not consider him good. From sharing emanates happiness.
And unselfishness frees man from false ego, which is the cause of unhappiness. Therefore, to be happy, be decentralised.
    Delightfulness:

A contented man is a delighted man. And the secret of happiness is satisfaction. One must love his work/duty. This is possible only if he is passionate about his work. In essence, 'performing duty with discipline and determination results in dexterousness. And a decentralised man is a delighted man".
