Job Description:
As the Call Center Telecom Engineer you will maintain and support the Telecommunications Call Center Computer telephony network for headquarters and remote offices. This includes all Siemens, Avaya PBX, Aspect call center hardware, software, and peripherals, Siemens ACD, IVR, Telemate CDR, and SMSI ACD reporting software packages, Verint resource scheduling software, IBM peripheral gateways etc. You"ll proactively monitor all servers to ensure maximum availability and perform all Call Center administration and lead efforts regarding system enhancements, and security. In this position you will plan and engineer upgrades, enhancements, and manage system change management and provide adhoc reporting in support of our Call Center. We are looking for someone knowledgeable in the support of remote workers and remote worker telephony solutions. Candidate needs to be a proven leader adept at skillfully leading strategic projects with applicable vendors, internal/ external customers; proven track record in vendor, financial negotiations is critical.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
•
• Atleast 2 Years Managerial level.
• 8+ years experience in telecommunications. Hands-on experience with designing, installing, configuring, and programming (scripting) - Siemens, Avaya technologies - Switches, ACD, IVR, Voicemail. Experience with computer telephony and call center applications for a medium to large user base. Should have experience in working with remote worker telecommunications solutions. Experience negotiating services with telecommunication vendors is required.
• Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of effective voice and data networks which impact multiple clients and business areas throughout the firm.
• Demonstrated experience in defining scope, vision; requirements analysis and documentation, project estimation, and planning.
• Expertise in VOIP solutions to support Internet and other data or voice transport solutions.
• Formal technical telecommunications training required: PBX administration and programming: Siemens, Avaya PBX Call Routing, MAC work, design and development of ACD applications including but not limited to vast computer telephony integration experience. Experience configuring call center software supporting skills based routing, call monitoring, desktop predictive dialer software.
• Strong leadership skills in leading meetings, teleconferences with customers, vendors to implement new solutions and/or manage troubleshooting efforts efficiently.
• Strong technical skills in management of Customer Premise Equipment, including experience with T1 / PRI test, turn-up, and maintenance.
• Strong proactive analytical and problem solving skills as well as planning, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to physically lift, carry, install, and punch down telephone handsets and other phone equipment. Thorough knowledge of cabling and wiring.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced in Project Management process, methods, and tools; Experience writing detailed project plans using MS Excel or MS Project.
Expertise in working with diagramming technologies.
