Scope :

Function : Presales Consultant

Reports to : Regional CSI presales Manager



Mission / Role Purpose :



To develop quality communications solutions of medium to complex level to meet customer business requirements. The process starts with the collection and analysis of all pertinent data essential to understanding customer requirements. The role takes responsibility for solution design inclusive of the underlying technical architecture, service level agreements, overall solution costing, delivery planning and representation of that solution as required. Customer facing activities such as customer presentations and negotiation in conjunction with the account manager is expected.



- Provide presales design support for medium - complex level solutions for both new and existing customers requiring Our Client Solutions, managed networks services or IS contracts in support of sales.

- Advanced technical interface providing support to customers, particularly in MPLS Networks, WAN optimization, IP Telephony and VOIP solutions.

- Transferring customers’ requirements into a solution based on Our Client solutions. Owns technical design from concept to subsequent implementation.

- Actively participate in the bid process and development of proposals in line with customer needs.

- Present technical solutions to customers both formally and informally as required.

- Support in the development of customer SLAs.

- Based on specific skills and project assignment work activity could be focused at the, territory or local level.

- Support sales in positioning / delivering billable consulting work to customers when such services will facilitate progression towards or closure of Our Client Solutions.

- Maintain a thorough understanding of the external tools that are required in conjunction with internal tools, systems and processes in order to develop quality / approved technical proposals to customers.

- Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge of all Our Client products, services and solutions sets

- Contribution to the Knowledge Management - Bid Management Repository

- Secure as required additional resources to accommodate specific customer requirements in accordance with Our Client established processes and policies

- Provision of skilled presentations to prospective customers on the technical solutions and services.

- Ability to liaise with customers unaccompanied and be a recognized authority on orange - Business Services products and services.

- Ability to interface with customers as required in support of internal sales, operational personnel, or established third party relationships

- Ensure best practice is leveraged across all target accounts

- Stay abreast of technical issues, options and advancements within the internetworking industry relevant to Our Client portfolio.

- Thought leader on leading edge or complex technologies.

- Proactively support global CSI, LOB and regional or country objectives.



Skills / Experience / Qualifications



- A relevant Degree with at least 8 or more years' of experience as technical sales support in network / telecommunications environment.

- Strong technical knowledge in MPLS and VPN technologies

- Certifications such as CCDP, CCIP, CCIE , ITIL Foundation

- Good knowledge in network systems, communications interfaces, protocols, WAN optimization technologies

- Good knowledge on VoIP and telephony solutions

- Good knowledge on IT services.

- Strong communication skills in English

- Strong customer service attitude

- Strong presentation skills
