About the Business Development Manager opportunity:
The Business Development Manager has the charter of identifying, cultivating and expanding our go-to-market presence and revenue streams through new channels such as reseller/channel partners (i.e. by Geography, Vertical Market, Established Customer Relationships, etc.)
This individual must understand Motricity’s business, product portfolio and the interrelationships and interdependencies of the Mobile Data Ecosystem. Armed with this knowledge the Business Development Manager will own the development of this go-to-market model and take action, proactively engaging and generating new revenue streams.
The Business Development Manager must possess the ability to present and lead these Business Development efforts on behalf of Motricity that will help drive our corporate goals of revenue growth.
Job Description
This role is highly collaborative and will also work directly with the Sales Directors, Sales Engineering, Product Development, Product Marketing, and Professional Services on Motricity’s go-to-market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Identify and develop APAC go-to-market presence and revenue streams through new channels such as reseller/channel partners, third party vendors and other business ventures (i.e. by Geography, Vertical Market,
2.Provide input regarding strategic direction and leadership of the organization, including refining the business model as the BD efforts show results and maximized revenue growth.
3.Develop realistic, aggressive objectives/targets for BD and ensure achievement of these targets.
4. Strategic partner alliances:
a. Technology: eg. Vuclip, Infogin, mCommerce advertising
b. Intrastructure: eg. F5, Microsoft
c. Content: eg. WooWorld, Funtertainment
d. Marketing/GTM: eg. Research firms; government agencies, social media group; media agencies
5. Relationship building events
Candidates Experience:
Functional/Technical Skills:
ï‚§ Knowledge of the Mobile Data Ecosystem with through understanding of the interrelationships and interdependencies
ï‚§ Proven track record of growing revenues into new go-to-market / business development areas
ï‚§ Knowledge in Motricity portfolio of solutions a significant plus and being comfortable discussing executive business value and benefit standpoints.
ï‚§ Business Development planning experience in identifying alternate channels and identifying and developing channel partners.
ï‚§ Experience building and managing revenue streams important with Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment
ï‚§ Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams; internal/external
Education & Experience
MBA in marketing, sales, public relations or similar disciplines.
5+ years experience of business development, sales, sales management, salesengineering or related experience including engagement with Mobile Operators (Primary) and (Secondary) enterprise, channel partners and third party partnerships.
