Call for Participation
=================================================================
IEEE Asia Pacific Cloud Computing Congress 2012 (APCloudCC 2012)
Wuzhou Guest House, Shenzhen, China, November 14- 17, 2012

Web site - http://www.apcloudcc.org/
Chinese - http://cloud.siat.ac.cn/apcloudcc/

Organized by IEEE and Shenzhen Municipal Government

Cloud Computing is the latest model of computing in which computing resources and data are held in big data centers remotely and are accessible over the Internet from anywhere, as if the services are located inside the "Cloud". We are catapulted into this nebulous state by the powerful convergence of widespread broadband access, the global deployment of mobile devices enabling near-constant connectivity and hundreds of innovations that have made data centers much easier to build and operate.

IEEE has recently launched its new Cloud Computing Initiative to stimulate the innovation and dissemination of Cloud Computing technologies and applications. This initiative will include a wide range of conferences, publications, standards, and testbed activities for the technical communities worldwide. This is one of the major events that are held in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and USA. The effort is kicking off with the introduction of two new standards development projects, IEEE P2301, Draft Guide for Cloud Portability and Interoperability Profiles, and IEEE P2302, Draft Standard for Inter-cloud Interoperability and Federation.  Final papers will be compiled in the APCloudCC Conference Proceedings and listed in the IEEE Xplore (IEEE Catalog Number CFP1275T-USB and ISBN 978-1-4673-2902-6). In current agreement, the accepted paper would be submitted forindexing to EI Compendex.

The Congress provides a stimulating forum for researchers, government agencies, service providers, end-users and IT experts to exchange ideas, research results, experience and case studies related to cloud computing. The Congress will include invited keynotes and panels by eminent leaders in cloud computing as well as presentations of peer-reviewed papers.

Shenzhen, modern and vibrant city in China, is the third largest city in China. Over the years, it has become China's first and one of the most successful Special Economic Zones. It is also the home of many hi-tech companies related to information and communications technology, including cloud computing.  For overseas delegates, the most convenient way to Shenzhen is transient through Hong Kong.
